The Ongoing Musical Journey
Kenan G, The Music Maestro

The gift of music captured Kenan's heart at the tender age of four. As Kenan's gift cultivates, he continues to share with others what has been bestowed upon him.

In 2010, Kenan began his studies in music theory at Ottley Music School (Hyattsville, MD) and at the age of 11, he began to apply his inimitable style of music in the capacity of a musician's apprentice. He also has played for and is currently playing for various church services, events, and other engagements across the DMV area.

In 2015, Kenan was accepted for admission to DeMatha Catholic High School and was named the winner of a John L. Moyland Band Award, an outstanding music program among the finest in the country. At DeMatha, Kenan participated in Concert Band I and II, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Lab receiving multiple awards for outstanding achievement and outstanding progress. His studies at Dematha have motivated him to embark upon ambitious ventures that provoke his passion to excel and continue his work at Bowie State University where he is pursuing a degree in Music Technology and Computer Science.
Kenan considers it an opportunity to work with aspiring musicians and delights as a protege of the reputable songwriter and producer, Mr. Isaiah D. Thomas and Dr. Rickey Payton, Sr.

Kenan has been heavily involved in various projects including being a musician for "Sounds Of The Season" and "Holiday Spectacular", two holiday productions, both written and directed by Dr. Rickey Payton, Sr. at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland.

Kenan currently is involved in various projects in music production, choir and vocal direction, performances, songwriting, and arranging.
